CRIJ 4355 Juvenile Delinquency

This course is designed to provide students with an in-depth knowledge on delinquency.  It looks at various definitions of juvenile delinquency.  The course will expose students to causation theories.  It will also provide students with the ability to explore official juvenile crime statistics and will bring out strategies that juvenile justice personnel can implement to bring about a smooth relationship between social institutions and the juvenile.  The course ends with an attempt to explore alternative measures of juvenile correction to stop them from incarceration.
