This course is designed to equip students with the ability to extract accurate information from a witness, victim, or perpetrator.  It also prepares students to face the challenges that exist between discerning the truth from a lie.  The course is a combination of both psychology and strategy.  The course also exposes the students to the ills of the use of force in information gathering.  Declassified FBI, CIA, and other specialized agencies' cases in connection with the use of force in interrogations will be reviewed.  Students are exposed to advanced interview and interrogation strategies within a challenging, changing, and complex technologically advanced world.  Emphasis is placed on the application of these strategies on contemporary crime.
